100 Miles of Hell

HELL is now worth a total of $10,000.00*

Hell is fun, right? No? Okay, we totally agree, but it wouldn’t be Homegrown Gravel without featuring a full 50/50 mix of the best Georgia/Alabama border gravel we can throw at you. We’re talking 8,500 feet of climbing and 40-ish gravel segments, including all the secluded pavé, gravel, dirt, sand, and streams you can handle. Our 100-mile course is a rough-riding gravel adventure that you’ll hate us for just after the ride, but you’ll love us for a few days later. We’ll have four fully stocked Aid Stations to soften the blow and keep you going. We’ll even have some warm soup, should the weather dictate that you’ll need it. We don’t deny that it’s a challenging course for this early in the season, but finishing will be a well-deserved accomplishment that will come with a finisher prize waiting just for you at the finish line. However, should you muster up the energy to win, it will cement your name among the best, and we will now reward you with a bit of green for your hard fought achievement.*

$10,000 Prize Purse*
We’re excited and proud that we have scrapped together a prize list fitting for the event’s difficulty. The $10,000 purse will be split equally between men and women and will be for the top male and top female, regardless of category. You can read more about the purse and rules here and then we can stop adding all these asterisks.

Hell Brought to you By Wahoo

When you’re in the thick of it, you don’t want to be second-guessing where you’re going. Today’s technology has all but eliminated the need for printed cue sheets, not to mention reducing our reliance on course signage. We love course signage until – oops – it falls over, goes missing, or turned around for someone’s amusement in the wee hours of the night before the ride. (It happens more than you think)

All three Homegrown routes are extensively vetted, researched, and engineered to maximize the awesomeness of your day. To keep you on track and get you home safely, we provide detailed ridewithgps.com files that pair perfectly with any Wahoo Bike Computer or Watch. If you’re not using the Atlanta-based tech from Wahoo, that’s cool; we’ll have FIT and TCX files for you, too. Do you need a new computer? Check out our friends at Wahoo Fitness online or at the event.

100-Mile Route

Update Feb 19, 2026: This is the final version of this year’s 100-mile course.

NOTE: Should the weather turn south for the event, we will modify the course to keep you off the worst roads. We can’t guarantee there won’t be any mud, but we can limit enough of it to make it still a great day out on the bike, just maybe a little soggier than you like.
