Now on to the 2025 Homegrown Gravel Adventure Eliel Kit Designs:
First, if you have anything from last year (2024), this year’s kits are meant to match, so if you have a jersey but want bibs/shorts, now is your chance to complete the set.
Thanks to our great partners at Eliel, we’re stoked to present our 2025 Homegrown kits for purchase. This is Homegrown’s second year partnering with Eliel; we couldn’t be happier. The feel and quality of Eliel are second to none, and their chamois are some of the best I have ever ridden. As for sizing, on a personal level, as I have worn more and more of their gear, I have also realized that the fit is fantastic, but you need to pay attention to sizing a little more than you may be used to. We’ll talk about sizing in the details below.

Sorry, our budget can only afford to risk so much for our fourth year.
SOLANA PRO-FIT STRIPES JERSEY:
Building on the previous two years of designs and utilizing our notes from your feedback, we built on our success by modernizing a few of our weaknesses. The first is the Stripe design, built on last year’s BWGA frame; we just refined what was under the hood. This minimalist design is meant to look classy yet bold. Using Eliel’s Dark Midnight base color, we’ve mixed in just enough of Homegrown’s bright wine, orange, and blue colors to enhance an already classic.
– Described as a perfect blend of race and aero, the Solana jersey combines the most advanced fabrics from Northern Italy into a wrinkle-free, close-to-the-body fit that is the new high standard for performance jerseys.
– Lightweight stretch mesh front designed for optimal breathability, moisture wicking with high UPF protection
-High-stretch materials for increased comfort and superior fit along with modern collar and longer sleeve length for superior aerodynamics
-Zipper pocket for valuables plus reflective trim and patches for added visibility

MALIBU RELAXED FIT HORIZON JERSEY
Like the stripe version, we’re building on last year’s design. This year, we’re using the Homegown light blue as the dominant color, giving it a more neutral look and feel. We also worked on the sizes of our friends, the cow and Buddy, the dog, to fit better and not overpower the design. We refined the horizon background and incorporated the “Grade A Gravel” on the sleeve. It’s playful, but not too playful. We’re utilizing the orange to help you be seen on the road, which creates great contrast from the Dark Midnight blue.
-Premium Italian fabric with UPF protection that wicks and breathes exceptionally well and a cut that provides more room in the arms and body of the jersey.
-Easy to reach pockets that won’t sag down below your seat when full
-Traditional high collar design

LAGUNA SECA PERFORMANCE BIBS & SHORTS AND ENDURANCE CARGO BIBS
The Laguna Seca Performance & Endurance bib/short comes in both a Men’s 9.5 and 11″ inseam as well as a Women’s specific cut. I have been riding both their performance bibs and endurance cargo bibs for the last three seasons and they could be the comfiest, well-performing bibs I have ever ridden. That includes hard fought 100-milers at both Mid-South and, my midwest favorite, Dust Bowl. Designed with the Homegrown stripe and cow on the Performance bibs/shorts and the Horizon Cow and Buddy landscape scene on the Endurance Cargo bibs/shorts. Both match perfectly with either jersey design. (including last year’s kits)
– Described as Eliel’s flagship bib short, the Laguna Seca is what you’ve always wanted your bib shorts to feel like—only the best fabrics designed with your all-day comfort in mind.
-EIT, anti-bacterial, carbon weave, 6+ hour chamois, hand-sewn in the optimal position
-40 gauge Italian lycra provides high compression and support with laser cut panels to ensure precise, superior fit
– WOMEN’S SHORTS – comes in either style. They are shorts only, without pockets, and 8″ Inseam on medium, scaled up or down according to size.
-SIDE POCKETS- only come in men’s or women’s Laguna Seca Endurance Bibs.

HOW DOES IT ALL FIT?
The below thoughts are my opinion, which, I think, accurately describes how I feel ELIEL clothing fits; it is expressly my opinion. I have designed kits for and worn almost every major cycling clothing line: Eliel, Garneau, Castelli, Pearl Izumi, Hincapie, Assos, Jakroo, Rapha, Mt. Borah, Pactimo, Voler, etc., and I have seen every fad and trend come and go over the last 40 years. Currently, the kit trend is a more extended inseam for bibs and a little shorter – in the front – jersey with a longer sleeve than, say, five years ago.
I – Wayne Whitesides – am 5’9″ and weigh around 185lbs. (an optimistic 175 by early March).
I am pretty thick in the legs, with a 32″ waist and inseam with a 42″ chest. I like my kits to “Fit” tight – thanks to my aero track days.
– I wear a LARGE SOLANA JERSEY.
– I wear a MEDIUM MALIBU JERSEY – though I could wear a Large if I wanted it to fit a little looser.
– I wear a LARGE PERFORMANCE OR ENDURANCE 9.5″ BIBS.
– If I lost the 10lbs I want to, I would still be a large based on length and it would probably not look so stretched out in the belly =)
I find the Eliel performance jerseys a little smaller than my Garneau or Jakroo gear I wear for other teams, which I wear mediums in. (Barely for now =), and I find the medium Malibu Jersey to be just a tad looser than my race Garneau/Jakroo kits, but the length is the same.
NOTE: The Solana jersey – When you first put one on, it seem really short – which is the new trend – but the minute you zip it up, it stays down where it is supposed to. If you are a little taller than normal for your weight, size up.
I find their bibs fit the same as all the other brands and I prefer the 9.5″ legs, though I have the 11’s as well/ (btw: Did I mention the chamois is amazing)
When in doubt on the jersey, size up. When in doubt on the bibs/shorts, size as you normally would.
